about ea health founder elaine atkinson
A trampolining accident as a teenager, the long journey to get a diagnosis and the lack of meaningful rehabilitation drove Elaine to set up ea health. Years of pain, dismissals and recurring injuries and niggles followed the initial accident, stopping Elaine’s training as well as dealing with constant, daily back ache and stiffness. A diagnosis was finally made 27 years later. Instead of a rehabilitation plan, Elaine was told to stop all training and focus on strengthening her core. This didn’t ring true and Elaine embarked on research, training and education to rehabilitate her own back. Five years, two Advanced Diplomas, a Personal Training qualification and a mentorship with Dave O’Sullivan, later EAST(ea Health) emerged with the sole purpose, to stop others having similar experiences.
